         Michael Davis

        University of Mobile - Retired

I have been an IT professional for 36 years and worn just about every hat an IT person can wear, including computer salesman, programmer, system analyst, computer consultant, teacher and Executive Director of Information Technology.

For 23 years, I worked for the University of Mobile, where I served as a professor of Computer Information Systems and the Director of Center for Academic Technology. I also spent 6 of those years as the Executive Director of Information Technology for the university before finally ending my career by returning to my favorite place, the classroom.

I joined the university as an instructor in the Fall of 1993, teaching all levels of undergraduate computer science courses. Because I made some of my online courses public, I also find that I am teaching computer students on YouTube, which I have found particularly satisfying.

I have been involved extensively in community service having served almost ten years on the Lake Forest Board of Directors including four terms as president. Additionally, I am an active member of the Daphne United Methodist Church.

I am a proud graduate of Jacksonville State University, and the University Of South Alabama.

My interests these days are my family, playing tennis, and running around town in my Porsche 914.
